7 string advice:SCHECTER VS JACKSON
Hey guys.
I was thinking to buy a 7 string guitar (before i order my custom RAN, because it could be a 7 string). And the Chances are the Schecter blcakjack c7 7 stringed (or the hellraiser:the same but with emg707s) or the Jackson professional christian olde wolbers DK7, with only one 707, but available in camo colour.
I need your advice, what do you think???
I saw them in www.drumcityguitarland.com
Thanks

If you want a little more versatility, go for the schecter with the 2 p-ups. Of course the Jackson would probably slay, but you really should try to demo both of them. Doesn't dcgl have a return policy? If so, just buy one of them and if it don't work for ya, send it back and get the other one.

I can personally attest to Schecter quality. Finest guitar I've ever owned thus far ( until I'm endorsed, that is ).

DUDE, go with the Schecter. I'D only prefer one because Jack (of Cannibal Corpse) Owen Played one, and i don't know anyone who plays a Jackson 7-string.
and if you don't mind me asking, what is a RAN?

ESP LTD just put out a 7 string Viper ... if you're looking in the price range of a Schecter 7 string you might want to look at the LTD as well. Or even still, the Washburn 7 strings on sale at Music123.com for 200$ ( list price 1,000 ).

The 7-string washburns are cool.

hahaha. He most likely has already made the choice, guys. Old thread. (a newb resurrected it). But as long as we're ranting about it, I've owned a Schecter 7-string. Great guitar. The only reason I sold it was because of the tremolo locking system thingy. Those sum' bitches piss me off. Never liked 'em. Other than that, it was a great guitar.
