New COC
(Thanks to PST, who sent me the whole thing.)
Rather digging this currently, it's more or less what you'd expect, perhaps a little heavier - soild and rather groovy Southern metal. It's a bit more BLS than it used to be, methinks.

They were one of those hardcore bands that came up at a time that the line between hardcore and thrash was very blurred, though they moved increasingly in the latter direction. Then Pepper Keenan joined and they released a pretty doomy record called Blind, then went Heavy Southern Rock with Deliverance (Keenan now on vocals), got slightly heavier with Wiseblood, and just went straight rock with America's Volume Dealer. In the Arms of God feels like the culmination of the first three Keenan-era albums. I've been a huge COC fan for years, and this is probably their best album, by my ears.

actually, if it were to be pronounced as a word and not as the separate letters, the central 'o' is pronounced like the deep, rounded 'o' in words like 'cocaine,' 'coquette,' 'cocotte,' and the prefix 'co-,' but I'll let you have your fun

I realize this, but I'm not paying for it unless I like it. As much as COC rules I'm not buying cds unless I've had a chance to listen to them. So if anyone has a torrent site where it is up can you link me please? I've looked on the net and can't seem to find anything.....

Regardless, COC will be on tour with Motorhead and coming to town next month. It's going to absolutely rock. Can't wait.
I can play the "Drowning in a Daydream" from Wiseblood. Simple, groovy song that's got a heavy edge. It rocks. It's hard as hell to sing like the guy though!
