I just talked to someone about this a few days ago and I didn't pay attention to how old you are.
When you get it, remember that sometimes your future employment might have a problem with what you have visible on your body. My kid had a complaint about his tattoo from one of his superiors in the Navy when he was dressing. You can't see it when he has a t-shirt on that covers his upper arm, but someone saw it when he was half dressed. Thankfully nothing came of it other than having to talk to someone about the conflict.
Another guy I know had to have his tattooed over to cover something that was offensive on his arm. And it was just an abbreviation. You also have to think about your body changes as you age.
So think about it really carefully before you get it so it keeps you satisified with what you've got.
I still think my dad's was the neatest. He had a hula dancer right about in the middle of his upper arm and when he'd flex his muscle she'd dance. He got that in WW2 so it was all greenish and kind of blurry from what I remember. I don't know if there was other colors ever or not.

I've seen the tattoo you are talking about. Morbid Angel simply uses it on some of their cover folds. Some people can take ancient/elder Sumerian symbolism the very wrong way. It can be very hard to explain to others though. Leave it to some nerdy nuke to make a big deal about it

I believe it is a seal of protection. I don't think the real Sumerians actually used that symbol as much as it was derived from the followers of mordern Sumerian tradition. I know some about Sumerian religion, but for the most part no one really knows much about it because all the ruins are in Iraq and no one has been allowed to researched them. I do know that MA are believers in the Ancient Ones, which just so happens to be seen as the most powerful, but also most evil of the Sumerian Gods. They are locked away from this universe in the "darkness beyond" and are waiting to be released once again someday. I guess I would have to check their tabs out, I can hear a basis of riff sound in there songs, but its not defined for me to hear super technical riffage. I know there reall technical there just tuned so low and theres so much drum work and singing going on that its hard to hear. I just relized they only have 3 members.... do they have a bassist come with on there tours?
