What good will a Lexus do you at 20 years old? The models you mentioned start at over $35,000. You could spend 15,000 on another new car that does the exact same thing that the Lexus will do. Just right there is a 20,000 difference, which at 20 years old there should be more priorities than spending, or borrowing, an unnecessary amount of cash on a vehicle that is more suited for your midlife crisis. It is nice to set your goals high, but that is crazy haha. Please don't tell me you're planning on leasing it either, that's worse. When I see friends or random people pouring hard earned money into expensive clothes, all it does is cry that they care too much. They care about a non-existent norm that superficial people keep afloat. They feel that they can argue over the fact that the brands that they're wearing are desirable and worth the price because they are "revered", and "stylish". But I assure you they're not and the idea behind over-priced clothing and the positive emotions that come with it is not, and that you're just falling into the quintessential consumer logic. Now, I'm aware that you have recently just become a non-virgin and that makes you knowledgeable about life, women, and relationships, but I do think you've glossed over the fact that this shit doesn't matter on any side of the table and that anyone thinking otherwise isn't worth your time.

Weak, weak people seek and find solace in good clothing. Ultimately good women don't care, friends don't care, and family don't care, so why should you care? People who purchase designer clothing for a higher price are typically ignorant and trying to fit in a social category, same for people who eat at restaurants that charge higher for the same product(Whataburger). Those shoes are known for comfort and durability which the two things I'm looking for in work shoes and yea I WILL buy an expensive shirt, not for the name but for the quality. I can see both sides of the fence. i wouldn't wear anything designer back in the day like Jordache that were so "fashionable." I was pretty much dressing grunge before there was grunge. (Says me sitting here in jeans, a turtleneck, and plaid flannel shirt. Some things don't change much.)

However when my son and I would go shopping at the mall for clothes, he was more into fashion. This is the one who became part of the family when he was about 16 or 17. He had me check out the Hilfiger jeans which I balked at before. The weight of the denim they used beat anything else on the market. The only problem I had with them was the cut because they'd go out of style fast, but they were well worth the money if you could see beyond that. I did find him a Hilfiger shirt for $5 which he couldn't believe. It was in a front rack at a Goodwill.

So bottom line is to look at quality and comfort. If it adds up and you can afford it go for it. If not, nobody really cares anyway.
