also a single cd of Handel. well, not "a single", its 60 min.
i was a little pissed that the store didnt have any Bach, still!!! i had checked a month ago. and i dont want to order when i know i can find it in SOME store. bastards.

as far as i can see, its a shitload of different musicians that dont use a specific orchestra or group name. but it is awesome as fuck. its made by Madacy special products. check it out:
disk one: chamber music
two: music for piano solo
three: piano concerti
four: serenades and divertimenti
five: symphonies
each disk has approx. 10 songs. there is one song in the chamber disk that i cant get over how amazing it is. its called trio for piano, violin and violoncello in E major. finally after 5 consecutive listens, ive moved on to the symphonies disk, for the first time. and id already been through the entire set of disks, minus the symphony, untill now. i guess all thats left to mention is that it was only 10 dollars. haha. what a fuckin steal. im more excited with this purchase than any other this year. well, maybe not as much as the ensiferum and ancient rites dvds. ok, i need to stop now. im just in love with this box set. |

i bought a bunch of beer. some 12 pack of different types of beer called "beers of america" and a 20 pack of beers from michelob. not my beer of choice, but i've never seen these before..except the amber boch. i've only had the ab before..and i'm drinking the porter as i type this. its actually alright..but as i expected, a bit on the light/watery side. i have 3 more of that style to go so maybe it will grow on me or something.
i was searching around for guitar string info here at mt since i've pretty much only used two types of strings in the 9-10 years i've played. started off with ernie ball super slinkys, and switched to power slinkys. i figured i'd get a number of different strings i saw recommended and wound up getting ernie ball skinny top heavy bottoms and a pack of not even slinkys, d'addario EXL115 blues/jazz strings and their light top heavy bottoms, and last, some ghs boomers thin/thicks. i guess it will take me a while to get through all of them, but i think it'll be nice to try out some different shit.

FRG isnt a church group. it just happens though, that all of the women in my company's FRG are heavy christians. they're all like 27- 42 and they have kids and minivans and they dress really conservatively and have similar haircuts.
i have pink hair (usually) 2 facial piercings (used to be three until recently), and i wear some weird fucking clothes. and i cuss in front of their kids. i have no kids (thank god) no car (dont need one), and no interest in quilting.
kind of makes me a minority.

Today I bought a new pair of shoes. They are New Balance. They are more trendy and stylish than is my typical style, but I figured I could always buy a more practical pair in a month. Since I wouldn't be doing anything athletic or involving the great outdoors until at least March, anyway, these shoes will be fine. They just look to nice to play baseball, life weights, or snake hunt in. Oh, and the traction on the soles aren't as great as the typical $40 New Balance sneakers, like the last two pairs I bought.

new balance good snake hunting shoes? good walking shoes ok..but other than that i don't get the snake bit. unless they bite you in the ankle or below...you are in trouble with some nbs. 
though i'll admit, i wear my usually globes when i go out in the field looking for spiders (mainly)

I don't have to worry about venomous snakes where I live, and snake hunting consists largely of hiking, so NBs are perfect. I would wear NBs here, and I would probably wear them in Florida or Arizona, too. I wore steel toed boots into the woods for years out of necessity (two pairs of steel toed boots were the only shoes I had), and they are rather uncomfortable and slow me down a tad. The only plus is that they help stabilize your ankles, so you can more easily traverse steep inclines or declines.

yea the boots do slow you down a lot. i was in san antonio this summer and was out looking for mainly tarantulas and scorpions or centipedes, but was aware of the chances of dealing with rattlers etc. i was wearing some 12 eye (at least) military boots...i also had one some military pants. i walked into a cactus and those spines pierced straight th rough the pants! i had to take a minute to pick all the 2" spines out of my shin. it was pretty fun! heh here in fl i have half used my regular shoes and half the boots. so far though i've only come across a full grown corn snake and a baby black racer which we caught and kept for a bit but wouldn't eat so we let it go. |

we have this practice kit at school, and its completely made of mute cymbals and practice pads.
And me and my band went in the practice room and played unas slayer of the gods with acoustic instruments. It was pretty bad ass.
