I have this digitech death metal pedal. And i was wondering if someone knew some good settings for this pedal to get some real death metal sounds like six feet under for example. I use a randall warhead top and an mesa boogie 4x 12 inch cabinet Btw. Some of you are now wondering "Why dont use the distortion from the amp ? " well, that's because i don't like it

i would crank the lows and roll off the highs a bit to start. you're going to be hard pressed to get a decent sound without added eq-ing though. plus there's no gain control.

If you want great distortion and tone, don't bother buying distortion before you get an EQ in the effects loop. A proper EQ can do amazing things to your sound. I recommend a GE-7. Simple interface, easy to use. Oh, and don't cut out your mids.
