jackson usually gives you a little brochure type thing when you buy a new guitar. it should tell you how to do everything. if not it's easy. use the allen key to unlock the nut, then loosen the strings, then loosen the allen bolts that are parallell to the body to release the string from the bridge. when you string it up just do the opposite. remember to give a little when you lock the nut. set the fine tuners to a medium position so you have enough room for adjustment.

Very nice. Looks kinda like mine...
**** Change the strings one at a time so that the tension on your Floyd does not change drastically. Taking them all off at once can cause major difficulties and there is absolutely no reason for it. If you do it this way and retune each new string right on the correct note before removing the next string it will make your life much easier. And return all the fine tuning posts to their default position before you lock the nut. Do not lock the nut until you've played on it for about a half hour and then retune it and lock it down...

you have HZs, theyre passive.. no batteries.. If they were active pickups then there would be a 9v battery powering it.
And I usually take off all the strings when I set up my floyd.. So I can clean the fretboard.. Just stick a battery under the bridge before you take the strings off

nice, id switch the hz's to active emgs. normally id rec. some dimarzio or duncans but im sure your guitar is pre-wired for emgs and it would be an easy switch.

---I'm picking up the proper forum lingo sloooooowly. You can clean the fretboard one section at a time. I've actually never had more than two strings off my guitar in the 9 years I've had it, but whatever you prefer...

Yeah I know you dont have to have all the strings off to clean the fretboard, but I like to have all the strings off to work on things.

I remember for some time I really wanted to get that guitar, but then I'm more into V's and stuff. You might want to change the pickups on those, if you like COB and stuff, unless you're already getting a plenty good tone with those. When you change a string and you replace them with a set of a different guage, you may have to fuck around with the truss rod and also the intonation and the spring tension and all that.
