Metal Versions

Just curious on what all of you think of a Metal verion to the Super Mario Theme? I wan't to do one but im not sure if it will sound good, so i need some opinions.

Oh, and one question, does anyone know if they make Flying V basses, or would i have to costom order one?

I played it once with my effect pedal in really heavy distortion sound. It sounded cool. But If you play it a bit slower it sounds better.

Mabey...

well, it sounds a little bad with too much distrotion, i was looking more on the lines of like, flangers and phasers. If you have a fast internet connection, go to
http://www.ebaumsworld.com/marioguitar.html and download it, its a dude playing the mario theme on his guitar, and i want that effect that he uses, but i have no idea what it is. If you find out what it is, reply to me.

I've said it before, if you play it on bass with distortion you have to play it slower. so it sounds better !

I used to own one of the Ibanez "lawsuit" Flying V Basses. It looked really cool and sounded good. However, it was very heavy. More importantly, from headstock to end of body it was extremely long. Because the base of the "v" has to be be at the end of the long or mid scale string length, the "wings" extend all the way to New Jersey. This presents case and gig bag issues--as well as small/mid-sized car issues.

Of course, it's only rock and roll so those problems shouldn't stop anyone.

If it's your bag, I say go for it. I believe Gibson made some for a brief while in the mid-80's.
