Unique and Interesting Guitars
Not a unique thread, but interesting nonetheless.
In recognition of Tattered's superlative thread down in the Bass forums, I
thought we should have one for guitars.
I'll start us off with the guitar GD posted over in the Ran sticky. Damn cool.

You lucky dog. I saw Uli play live last year. He signed my cigarette lighter, but I would rather have his guitar. That is one cool motherfucker and one badass guitar... Oh, and congrats on the record deal...

Well they're meant to be fat to get that sound. Looks don't just determine how good the guitar is.....but then I wouldn't wanna play like a pink polka dot Soloist that sounds good too.

I'm not sure if it is wood or some kind of poly hard plastic resin. It really doesn't look like real wood and it doesn't make since to make it out of wood either.

piezzo is somekind of material which picks up the string vibrations(not sure how or what it is).
but, its placed inbetween the bridge saddles and the wood, so the signal it recieves isnt affected by the wood at all. i think. correct me when im wrong.

It does affect the tone alittle. The wood affects how the strings can vibrate thus the overall tone. When the strings vibrate this movement is transfered to the piezo saddles, when they move a small electric current is generated that is then amplified by your amplifier.
