Actually dude, those two guitars are exactly the same. They are both Pro series imports from japan. The only other Dave Mustaine models are the Y2KV and the KV1. The KV1 looks exactly like those and even has the same hardware, but you get the build quality of the USA select series. The difference between the KV Pro and the KV1 is like that of the RR5 and the RR1T, they are essentially the same but you get a better quality guitar with a much higher resale value.
If you need more info on this you could always check out the J/C forums. Those guys definately know their Jacksons and could be of more help to you.

J/C forums, that's a good idea, I never thought of that. Also, I didn't notice that the second one was a Professional too.

Hold the HOLY hell on a sec here.
I can insure that Dave only bought/used a Jaskson KV-1 before 1999 and YKV-1 after. Both are USA made select series with some square like duncan crowned frets. I had a KV-1 custom made for me with 6100 fret wire so I know the real differance. For who said they hated the Kahler 2330 flat mount.... what are you smoken? Mine came with a fucked setup but I fixed it and it was gold.
Don't let E noob killler( E bay ) fool you all. ok? plz ask me about KV's
Edit: there are a ton of jackson's that claim to be Dave Mustaine guitars and just look like it and are hokes. Nothing that Dave played comes from Japan.

I get your Jackson part, but for the Japan part, what the hell are his ESP DV8's then?

Then if you say it like that, then it would still fit into the "Played, Plays and will Play", wouldn't it?

I know those don't match up to the USA custom ones, but how do you think those two up there are? Does it look worth it for the price? I mean it uses the same parts, neck-thru, ebony, head and fretboard binding, it looks more than a decent guitar.

Well neither one is a bad guitar. I first one that is made in Japan isnt bad at all for the price as long as it is in working order and doesn't have any major problems like a warped neck. That is why it is a real risk of buying a guitar from Ebay. There could be things that you can't find until after you have it. Japan did make some pretty good Jacksons in the 90's though.
