I have the GT-6, i love it, and i picked it over the Tonelab. It has alot of effects, and i mean alot. The knobs allow quick editing on stage and its construction is very rugged. I really like mine, but thats my opinion.

You mean that you had VOX TONELAB SE and GT-6 sounded better?

The gt-8 is pretty sweet too, and has some nice new features, I tried it out at GC and if I didn't already have my '6 I would buy it. Its $45 more than the gt-6 though.

Yeah, but on ebay the gt6's are getting very cheap because of the 8's launch. I bought one just the other day

i live in england and when i bought my gt6, a year or so ago it cost me £340. I'd like to say its money well spent but then again it aint that nice. The effects sound really good, especially the acoustic's and cleans, same goes for the chorus and delay. THe only thing i real hate is the wah and pitch shifters. They sound real thin and shitty. The gt6 itself is fucking huge and so I m thinking about selling it and buying some single pedals or even some rack gear. So if anyone brisitsh wants to buy one, i sell ya it at a good price

actually, if you try not to listen to the music, they do put on quite a show. 9 fags jumping around on stage is quite entertaining.

i might actually go see them soon, just because they're coming here with dillenger excape plan(amazing), shadows fall, and lamb of god...
which would be an amazing show, worth sitting through slipknot.

i know... you'd think they'd put them on tour with bands that wouldnt show them up completely. like mudvayne or something.

honestly i do like the tonelab.the big one not the little one. its got a preamp tube for more warmth or sumthin. it does add a little sumthin.

it's a gimmick... kids think tubes are the best and to them it's just as good as being all tube. they don't know the difference. look at the marshall mode four.. it's a pretty good amp imo... but for an overglorified avt, $1,200-ish is just to much.

i think that amp is alot of hype. it sounds good but, like you said, not worth it. i have an avt 275. it sounds alright but i cant tell THAT much of a difference between hybrid and solid state.

All the Boss GT's are made of tough Metal, and record via line in/out.
They are rather large, and my toes have gotten split open from running into it on my floor a few times, but thats my fault for leaving it in the middle of the room
