soilwork used to be one of the forefronts of extreme metal but i heard my mate's tape of "full metal racket" (a late-night metal radio program), and even this friend of mine, a melodic death metal devotee who fancies even the new in flames albums, agreed with me that they sound like a pop band now than a metal band.
