Yeah, I'm on a tight budget. I was wondering if this is worth the money.

I might save up for the LTD EC 400. If not, then I might just go with the Les Paul. The EC 50 looks way too plain.

WTF is wrong with the Epiphone? I haven't played it, but if I'm not mistaken, there is one at my local shop...

Simply put, their are MUCH better guitars for the money.. Epiphones are overpriced. Id be MUCH happier with an Agile than a Epiphone. MUCH happier.

Well, I might still check out that Epi if I can find it in the store. I don't have $600 to be putting out. I am working overnight with my uncle, and I was thinking of putting that money towards a new axe. I was also thinking of a Jackson JS1 (I don't know why, or how, but these things play NICE for only $200)

yea i have an epiphone explorer and its not the greatest but my les paul is awesome it plays great, and i got it for 600 and it came with a 90 dollar skb case. Its a black les paul custom, with gold hardware and an invader and a '59.

Why not just get a really shitty guitar (for $50 or something), make sure it has a decent neck, and plop in new pickups, and some new hardware if you feel like it.

I wouldn't buy an epiphone. Save up another 600 and get a Gibson. Nothin plays quite like a Gibson, fuckin great stuff

Dude? I'm 16. Snow plowing and shit (when it snows, thats when we do it. Its a part time thing) gets done in the wee hours of the morning. And my uncle lives with my grand parents, so fuck that. That is the dumbest thing I've heard all day.
I'm geting the JS 1 and putting Duncans in it. And I'm still getting the Epi Les once I get $400, because I decided to go with the next model up.

No one likes the current Gibson build quality, they charge WAY too much for their new models.
My uncles'd 76' custom plays and sounds so nice, I have yet to play a better guitar.

I think you should save your money to a gibson les paul, cos it's worth it.
But like some others say: Do not under any condition buy a Epiphone. All I've heard of it is that it falls apart and the sound sucks. And BTW i doesn't have to be a expensive gibson. I have a Les paul special and it wasn't so expensive but still works great.
