It's funny that Im holding my Essex right now. Yes, in my opinion they are great starter guitars. I'd thoroughly recommend one.

And why am i a hypocrite for defending bc rich if i own one? i would understand if previoiusly i had said something bad about them and now im defending them, but i have said nothing bad about them, i like those guitars so i dont think im a hypocrite for defending a brand of guitars i like.
