I only downtune with my RP7. I've got a floyd rose, so I don't feel like fucking with it every time I want to play something different.

Yeah i agree, standard and dropD are what i use most, i quite like C though, for playing Kyuss and shit.

my favourite tuning is B standard (B E A D F# B) because many of my favourite bands play in it, but at the moment it's in standard Bb (Bb Eb Ab Db F Bb) for cannibal corpse. |

I'm almost always in standard, I like it the best. I sometimes use Drop D and D standard thoug, when playing insomnium and children of bodom and such.

D standard and Eb. I also used to tune my guitar to C just to play Kyuss (and Sleep)...and try to make my own music of that genre, which might of worked if I knew a drummer and bassist who were interested in the genre and making a band. Did not work out though.

Standard tuning is the best.If anything,I'll drop D but mostly to play Walk and other covers,not on my own music though and Eb for Yngwie but I always stay standard

Im usually tuned down in C or B nowdays, but more than half the time my ibanez just stays in C cause trems are time consuming. I switch back and forth between C and B alot though with my backl up fender.

yes, if you do it constantly, so don't muck with the tuning too often (unless of course it slips a whisker out of tune so just do it back up). as dissection says, pick one tuning and stick with it as long as you can.

ive played everytuning
i played in A in my old 7string but that completely sucks ass
i just played in C for tabbing a diabolic song, but i hate that tuning,
just like i hate D.
B is okee but its to low for me when im playing on a low volume.
i like E but it doesnt sound heavy enough for me.
i hate every dropped tuning cuz its simply anoying
so gues what tuning im in 
btw these are MY opinions so dont bother telling me whats better

yea, im betting he plays Eb also, i have a 7-string so i tune to A (A,D,G...)
i hate when people play dropA on a 7-string, what the hell is the point? just drop A on a six string, i have A with my seven string and sometimes i play it like a 6-string so im in D so i can play songs in D, its like having 2 different tunings in one guitar, and on my 6-string i play B(B,E,A,d,G,b.) so i can play carcass and shit, oldschool shit, grave, entombed, unleashed, and things of that nature.

I ussualy tune down to B standard ( BEADF#B ) or C ( CFA#D#GC )
and the gauges on the strings from low string to high string
.60 .46 .36 .26 .17 .13
