Easy/Great Solo's?
Iv been improving my soloing lately... because I suck at it, compared to my rhythm.
Iv been increasing my shredding speed, I couldnt even do 80bpm on a chromatic scale alternate picking but now I can do just about 120bpm... (in 2 days!)...on one string its about 180bpm though.
I need to look for some solo's, which are pretty easy but sound good, if there over 120bpm I probaly wont be able to play them though..
I know there has been quite alot of threads like this, but most of them are like 'Slayer - Angel Of Death' probaly one of the easiest metal solo's !!
Thanks... for the help...everybody

just try whatever solo u think is doable for u, if there parts that are 2 fast just memorise em and play em slow til u got it.
i think u should just begin with soloing, instead of looking for easy solos.
just go and practice.
goodluck
btw try the insight and the catharis solo from dimmu borgir some parts might be 2 fast but just try.
or the dogmacondemned solo from hate eternal, its not rilli fast, (mostly)

I cant do Any solos.
Mostly a power chord person and am happy with that so far.
I Can however do the (soloish?) openings to ....
Iron Maiden - Wasted Years
Billy Idol - White Wedding
Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love
Robert Plant - Big Log
Judas Priest - Electric Eye
Helloween - I Want Out
...almost perfectly as well as the entire tunes!
All of these tunes open diff than with power chords so perfecting these I'm sure I will evolve into the world of some scathing solos eventually!

practice the solo on slow speed, until u memorize it perfect so u can play it without thinking, then go for speed.. should work .. or chop the solo in little parts, solos are usualy little fast licks glued(??) together.
anyway practice mate ull get there

Easy? Maybe for you, but for someone who's beginning to play solos, Tornado of Souls isn't that easy.

The Darkness - I Belive In A Thing Called Love
It aint metal and many of you guys may not like that song but, it's got a very easy solo that's a lot of fun to play

I know it's not too easy for beginners, but I think Crazy Train is easy. It's very basic and it doesn't pull off any weird shit.

Just practice scales and shit to build up speed. make up your own little licks and just play around for a while. Eventually you'll build up enough skill to play a lot of solos.

hehe ok
then you might want to learn the solo in The Wicker Man by Iron Maiden, it kicks ass and isn't very hard.

Im at the same stage as you dude, can play a lot of stuff but when it gets to the solo in a song *skip*... Hope no-one noticed that...
Im just doin speed lessons, theres a few pretty kickass sites, scales are good too. Ill post you a pretty handy link on scales and joining them - http://www.insaneguitar.com/mc/scales.html
Umm a solo which is pretty famous, and aint too hard to play is the first solo in Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb. The second one is a bit nuts, and a hell of a lot longer. I know it isnt metal but its some pretty fuckin masterful soloage.
Also, I like to look into opeths songs because they play a lot of riffs which are basically solo licks, but not as hard. Serenity painted death, and black rose immortal both have a few i can think of.
Anywayz, good luck with it dude.
