Think I ruined my effect pedal....

Here's the deal, I bought an Ibanez Weeping Demon and had an Boss OS-2 overdrive/distrortion pedal before. I had been playing for a while and the weeping demon was running on a battery but the boss was connected to electricity with one of these things: http://www.rin.is/myndir/effect/psa230.jpg .
Then the battery ran out so I connected the weeping demon with the thing and found another one of those things to connect the boss, apparantly that thing I found for the boss to connect to was not one of the reccomended things and it made a horrible loud buzzing sound when I turned the amp on so I disconnected it. Then I disconnected the weeping demon and connected the boss with the normal thing and it sounded very very weak and bad, then I disconnected it, connected the weeping demon and didn't worry about it for a day. Then I connected the boss again and now it's making a loud buzing sound every 2 seconds or so for about half a second and sounds very weak. So I disconnected it and came here.

Did I ruin my pedal? is there any way to fix it?

didn't see that thread... the adapter (so that's what the "thing" is called ) I used that I think ruined my pedal says:
Ein/Pri/Input: 230V*some weird sign* 50Hz 6W
Aus/Sec: 9V=200mA
Output: 1.8VA

ya you need a BOSS adapter, no other will do. Its just the standard 9v adapter but its got low amperage. you must have fried it but using an adapter above 200mA
... as we said in the other thread

best way to tell visibly if its fried is to take it apart. you may see some blacking around certain componants if needs be take a picture of the insides n i could tell you. the parts wont allways go black they do have sum tolerances which will prevent them breaking but weakening them which sounds like what its done

ok....

then the power rating is probably correct. good for you.

power is power, its just a name stamped on it.

maybe your ns-2 doesnt need a specific adapter.
