I don't really have a fav. magazine. I just buy them whenever they have a good feature. I don't like buying them cuz they have about 4 pages that I actually read, and the rest are like ads and stupid columns.

Guitar World is having issues w/ Jenna Jameson in them. It's like having a guitar mag. and porn mag. in one. So it's a Win-Win situation!

For guitar, either Guitar One or Guitar World. Guitar World is starting to become really decent ...
My favorite music magazine, period, is BW and BK ( Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles ).

Such a rip-off though, if you buy it at a book store w/ the CD. They cost like $7.50.

Never read any, and I'm not planning to because the main reason people buy those magazines are because of the covers. .... I must say, I have better images available free in the internet....
Also the content is not that interesting....

I haven't bought a guitar magazine for a good few years now. If I want to learn a song I'll just figure it out and if I want to read interviews with band members I'll buy a genre-specific music magazine, usually Terrorizer. If I want advice on equipment I'd probably ask here. These three circumstances negate the need for me to buy guitar magazines.

I don't like guitar magazine's. Their expensive, filled for 50% with adds, most editorial stuff are standard interviews annyway. They alway have tabs of songs you either don't like, or just could have downloaded from the net for free. And the tabs aren't even accurate most of the time.
Like some dude said in this thread, I only would read like 4 pages of something.

Kinda funny when they have like a complete tab for a Good Charlotte song or something. That's just a waste of paper, ink, and pages in the mag.

Guitar World usually has the best stuff. Guitar One is the only other one that I'll buy.
When I buy a guitar mag, its usually because there is one article or tab in it... I should start going through all of the lessons...

I would have to say my favourite is Guitar World but I haven't bought one since they started to include cd's and jacked up the price ($9.99 Canadian).

Nah I don't like Total Guitar. I don't read 75% of it anyway. I liek "Guitar Techniques". It's only about 100 pages, but it doesnt have much ads (maybe 2/3) and the content is a lot better than in other magazine. Half of it is just like 4/5 transcriptions, and the other half is (the "Workshop") is just technique and theory lessons. Great stuff.
By the way, there's a mag comparable to Terrorizer called "Zero Tolerance" and it has a 2 page guitar section in it. I only read one issue, but it was shit anyway (as well as Terrorizer).

ZT is OK. The guitar section features lessons from Moyses Kolesne of Krisiun. They're not exactly in depth lessons but for somebody who wants to learn specifically about death metal I guess they're OK. There's also a drum lesson with Derek Roddy and a recording lesson in each issue.
I'm not a great fan of Total Guitar - the transcriptions are usually incomplete, ie, they show you how to play just the main riffs of songs. It generally covers music outside of my interest (as do the vast majority of guitar magazines) so I don't buy it. I don't buy any guitar magazines anyway, for reasons already stated in this thread.

and not enough metal realted things in it.
