Alright, I'm assuming you'll be paying 2-300 dollars for this head, maybe even four ... and that's way too much, because you will be dissatisfied with this piece of equipment more and more as your playing progresses. For the money you're spending, look instead for a Marshall Valvestate 8100 head. These are going for around 2-300 dollars on E-bay ( trust me, it's safe ), and once you plug into the Valvestate and then back into the MG, you'll see the difference. Trust me. ( To hear the 8100, listen to any Death album )
I'm sure others here can recommend other amplifiers around the price of a MG100 head, the 8100 is not the only option. But the MG is no option, if you take your sound seriously.
If you think we're being tough on you now, just try actually buying it. Then we will really slag you.

Just...don't get it. Screw the fucking Marshall MG series. Bought myself a MG250DFX a while ago and the fan in the back broke after two days....TWO DAYS! Funny thing is that after reading reviews on the MG series, many people said the same problem with the fan. Anyways, the MG100HDFX is a horrible excuse for a Marshall head.

i recommend you buy the head, and keep it in the box. One day, when you're having a REALLY good day, take it out and play it. It will entirely ruin your day, and you will deserve it for even considering buying this piece of trash

.....Or, you can do it like Rapture and get a Crate BV for $75 like most people do.

Yeah dude, don't even consider that peice of shit. There are way better options even new. Randall G2 series for instance, or the Crate GT3500H.

well damn, for $400 (price of a new Marshall MG100DFX head) you could get a Crate BV120H on ebay... which i HIGHLY recommend.

Yes, or some mad solidstateliness. Like the Randall or Crate, but if that aint your thing, a used 5150 or BV120h is right up your alley.
