you probably just gotta mess with the settings more
make sure you turn the contour, gain, and treble up and that might do it

dude im tellin you.max gain. dimed bass. mid at 8. treble at 4 or 5. and my predence all the way up.it sounds great. but not metal.great for blues damn im jammin on blues! but it dont soud that great palm muted.and its not thik sounding. reall crunchy in a not metal way. open i guess is a word.



i feel bad for saying this but its this againts an avt 275 and the avt is winning...ive had the avt for over a year so its pretty much at my perfect setting though.i have untill tommorow to return it.

Small little local music stores seem to have short times for returns.
A place like guitar center will give you a bit more time, 30 days I believe, but I think you only get store credit or something.
If you really cant find good tone outta this, and you've tried a bit, then I wouldnt keep it. Return it, you can always re-buy it

ill mess with it it had a good sound, real early ozzy sounding.the only way to describe it is the distortions not as tight.

try swapping the tubes? and a speaker change will help... no reason it shouldnt be able to handle metal... my old guitarist had one, he maybe turned the gain up to 8 and it was great metalcore-ish chum chum distortion.

which tubes do you recomend for higher gain? i dont know if its worth the trouble and expence of getting it biased, and buying new tubes, and new speakers.like im playin opeth by my self and with the cd and its just not pullin off the sound. not even close.noe when i play along with the ever popular iron man it has almost the exact sound. weird huh.
