and yea, they dont suit ibanez, i would expect that shit with bc rich and other makes like washburn, but not ibanez. thats not an attack against bc rich and washburn, its just that i see ibanez as a guitar make you produce fine instruments and shit along that line not "novelty" guitars.

Well, big difference is that b.c. rich guitars look "teenage evil", you know, pointy with spikes and maybe some angsty text as inlays like "I hate u 4 reel" or "U suck goat choad" or "Daddy bought this guitar 4 me, so I can look xtra heavy in front of my mates! W00t"

I do agree that its not usual for ibanez to invest much in the aesthetics of the guitar, but I actualy enjoy its industrial look.

Man, at least Ibanez does it with class. The paint job isn't over designed, and it looks damn good. Does the RG have a Wizard I or II neck?
Hell, if the price is right I might just get that for my first Ibanez.

They look OK I guess. But I still say Ibanez should bring their classic flying V back. And put a tremelo bridge on the Iceman like they used to.

Are they painted or printed on? If I really wanted such a design, it would be a lot cheaper to have someone customise my guitar.

I just found out that these are not going to be out for sale until 5/15/05 and they are going to cost a bout $700-800. I am getting the RG one. It isn't a cheap made guitar really.

Only a few B.C.'s actaully sound good man. Well, almost any one of their guitars you see in a store or on the website for less than say.......2000-3000 isn't going to sound or play near as good as an Ibanez.

Jem's are overpriced.. The scallop jobs are horribly done, and even the inlay are pretty messy with alot of filler around them.

Id get a good RG instead.

i WILL buy the RG. Ibanez is and will always be the (IMO) Best value on a QUALITY guitar.
BCs of the same price do and always will suck. But the Body art series are decent entry model guitars. Compared to the Newer Chain store off brands(FirstAct, House of Blues).

wow i've seen those house of blues by washburn guitars at best buy.walmart sells first act.hastings sells silvertone.at one of our guitar stores there like quality silvertone guitars.that cost more and i think your getting what your payin for.they even have duncan designed pickups. thats better than most stock pickups.

The Iceman is ok, I much rather prefer the look of the Iceman 400 over that thing.

Indeed, metal isn't about esthetics. But did i say it was? Your guitar or tshirt may not make you metal, but they can look metal. Realy, don't you think a band-shirt and and v- or explorer shaped guitar look better than an strat guitar and an pink shirt?

And before your using my words and twisting them, the problem I have with b.c. rich styled guitars is that their overdesigned and over the top. They go beyond the line of that wich looks mean or cool, their like something immature teenies would let their parrents buy them to look "evil" and "heavy".

Are they really neck-thru? The specs. say that the RG has neck-thru, and sharkfin inlays (a discrepancy), so I'm not sure if it is actualyl neck-thru.
