Ibanez RGT42 Black Pearl Question
I've had my Ibanez Black Pearl for awhile now. It's a great guitar. However the Edge Pro tremelo sounds very weak compared to the Floyed Rose. You have to really yank on the bar to get a good tremelo effect. My big problem is the whammy bar itself. It is basically like a little stick. However I just started to notice a different whammy bar on pics of this guitar, it's much larger and it looks like it's bent. Lord Gore uses the black pearl and uses this type of whammy bar and it sounds better than the one I have. I know it's not some custom made whammy bar. So I was wondering is there anyway I can order this other type of whammy or am I just shit out of luck?
If you don't know what I mean look at the Black Pearl on the Ibanez website and then look at this picture. Notice how the whammy is larger?

The one in that pic is a shitty TRS... its a pile of shit. Stick with your Edge... The Edge is by far the best Licensed Floyd.
Now learn how to use the Floyd..

The RGT42's trem is Edge Pro II which is a crappier version of the Edge Pro  .

I know how to use one thank you very much. In case you missed it I do have a B.C. Rich Warlcock with a Floyd. It's just I feel the edge pro does'nt sound as good.

Why is the Edge so much better than the TRS 2? I am thinking about switching mine over on my RGT also now.

I like the edge pro and all but I whish they had longer whammy bars that accually screw in. Not just placed in some little hole.

Thiers is no Schaller "Licensed" Floyd.. Schaller makes all the OFR's as well as a few with their name on it...
