ripped off (i think)
guys i think ive been ripped off
my new guitar has a floyd rose bridge, i bought the guitar from ebay as part of a shop the description says its is an official floyd but on closer inspection the engraving on the bridge reads
licensed under floyd rdse pats
the spelling mistake ^ here is exact to the engraving
is this right or not

of course is not right, you must be aware because a floyd rose system could be a pain in the ass if doesn't work o.k.. I think, before you buy a guitar, you should try to play it first, before you spend your money....

a floyd is not a pain in the ass, you just need to learn how to use it. not much can be wrong with it, if it's a QUALITY floating trem system.
if you buy a guitar of e-bay, you just can't try it. thats the downside

I see, not a really common guitar there. the saddle of the G-string is in a weird position, intonation and shit sounds good to you?
if its playing fine, don't worry too much about it man, some floyd copy's are just as good as the original.

it all sounds fine intonation is perfect only one change i gonna make is probs the pickup as its only got one id like summit decent to boost the quality (let me know if what i said then is bollocks lol)

That guitar looks better for impaling people with rather than making music. If the seller said it was an orignal floyd rose, and it isn't, then you are entitled to a refund.

we dude... I got the same guitar....only thing is I bought it in TJ...same guitar same everything...even the same typo bridge *lowers head*...well it sounds fine....I even did my homework in finding something under this "Floyd <b>rdse</b> pats" too see it if legit but I was only able to get something under this link http://www.laster.it/guitarbook/ele...il-ponte-mobile
only thing is its in Italian...u can translate it in a online translator thinger duh!....but yea...that might help....but no worries... i made the same mistake....only thing is i was able to tightly fit an EMG pick up...now i need to fix the bridge... over all...who cares if ppl say its only for show...fuck it if u have it why not play it
