sound proofing tehnics?
anyoen got any useful sound proofing technics for me. we practice in my drummers basement and his parents go nuts. we know we cant completely sound proof it or anywere close but to get it more muffeled for them and better sounding for us.

blankets on the walls, and then egg cartons over them...
it wont completely soundproof it, but the the room will be much more dampend and the noise will be more "contained."
that's the poor man's way out though.
if you got the money, buy the studio foam and all that expensive jazz... it'll do the job better and look nicer.

and yeh, cover the whole wall as well as you can.
it really dampens the room and contains that noise ALOT better.

I gues the fastest way to do that would be first covering the whole wall in glue, then use a leaf blower to blow the packing peanuts on it. You have to be very fast because it may dry faster than you can blow.
And make shure you don't accidentaly glue yourself to the wall.

Ive sound proofed my cellar, ive just covered (blocked up) the windows in pillows and blankets, but then again the walls are pretty thick anyway, some more techniques on sound proofing would be pretty cool though.. that egg carton thing is new to me, but i could sort of see how it can work
