Tremolo Picking
I've been trying to tremolo pick for months, but am getting no where. Can anyone offer some advice?

just try to pick dlowly, up, down, up, down, up, down, with a metronome if posible and speed it up little at time.

try to move only your hand and not your arm. The motion is in the wrist.
Try to be relaxed. when u get tension it starts to fail and it gets tiring very fast. with time u will be able to do it faster and for longer time.

For Practice, try Tremelo Picking any fretted string for about a minute straight at a fairly constant rate, bending and releasing string as you pick. It'll help you focus much more.

This should show you everything you need to know, including where to place your wrist which IS VERY IMPORTANT!!

One last message: DO NOT use any sort of weights on your fingers to strengthen them. Excercise your hands either without weights, or on a guitar.

Yeah, I know. Whoever wrote that sure knows their instrument well. I'm following each step, and I'm almost half way through. If the stuff I'm doing now seems difficult, I can't wait to see what excercises this guy has at the bottom!

well is what i did was listen to slayer then started playing their songs to get fast, but to get fast and have flawless picking is just practice nothign more or less. i'd say take down a shot or two to relax your muscles then start slow and gradually move up then start playing with a metrenome once you think your getting pretty fast.
