It's just stupid. It's the net, it's used to reach out to people all over the world. The chance of finding a drummer with it, unless of a specialised board devoted to a certain area, is almost impossible. Newspapers and bill board ads do a much better job, and if I was up to a death metal standard, then I wouldn't play for any little idiot who asked because it takes a lot to become a good metal drummer and if they don't have anything to show, they can go fuck themselves. NEWS: People only want to work with people up or above their standard, unless they're really good friends or someone is paying them with money or secual favours. Synthetic_Fears, prepare to bend over.

i dont think its possible to find a specific type of drummer over the net. well at least i havent had any luck the last few years. On the other hand, i've found many metal drummers just talking with people around the city.

Some places are just assholes of the world, music-wise. In Australia, instruments are much more expensive than they are in the USA and Europe, and metal musicians are much harder to find. Some places in the USA are like that aswell, like smaller cities and country towns.

Well, let's take a price comparison:

In America, a ZXT Trashformer costs 60USD. With the current conversion rates, it should cost 80 AUD or so here. It costs 130 AUD. I haven't found a single AXIS pedal, you can't get Anatolian cymbals here, and a lot of new stuff like educational DVDs come out 6 months or so later than they come out in other places. As soon as I'm finished with my education, I'm moving my ass to Europe or Canada.

if Axis ship to NZ (which they do) they WILL ship to Aus, fewer people care about NZ than aus, and btw it is evern MORE expensive to buy drum gear here, so feel lucky BC.
