ive got an epiphone les paul special II skull, not only does it look metal but it sounds good too. its a black les paul with humbuckers and a skull painted on the body and some cross bones on the 12th fret.
i saw this one guitar, a prs i think, that dokken used. the body had 3d bones and a skull in it, its was so cool.

this is similar to mine, only on my neck it only has crossbones on the 12th fret, none of those dots are there

any 80's/early 90's HM STRAT, 80's Kramer, or 80's Charvel/ Jackson Soloist bodied shape.

oh.. i didn't realize that was Joe's. i remember hearing about a Les Paul guitar(no idea what year), and they discontinued it because the metalic paint fucked with the tone.

BC Rich guitars do look metal as fuck.

some esp guitars look pretty metal. They offer some crazy looking custom models in japan. Other than that i like the look of the mh and m series guitars. Look real nice with the pointy headstocks and the white binding.

meh, aint very metal at all, looks just like a soloist and that headstock is ok, if your looking for a metal headstock look no further than a bc rich widow headstock.

Caparison headstocks are teh shit. its what defines them. My washburn has a similar head stock though its the reverse of that headstock.
Widow headstocks, meh. I have (and this happened to my cousins guitar too) had the headstock chip off a piece of wood from the little horn tips. With it being easily breakable and not too aesthetically pleasing, I do not like the widow headstocks. + it says Bc rich on it . I'd be happy it just had the R

I think anything spikey can be considered a metal guitar. The ones that actually sound good aren't too crazy looking though(as above). Ibanez RG's are good in general, and they look awesome.

The 2005 ESP Models look sick. Also, the guitarist/singer from Dragonlord has a pretty wicked model. Not sure what brand it is but it looks sexy.
