New Gear
today i finally got my stack.got a randall warhead half stack and i also got a dimarzio x2n pickup for my back up guitar.

i don't even need a pedal or anything when i play on it.the distortion is fucking amazing (probley the best i've heard from any other amp).

seriously though, they arent really that bad... but the distortion pedal comment still stands... play one and you'll here what i mean... very cold and sterile sounding, buzz style gain... yeah.. hard to explain. i just find them to be very simple sounding amps.
i'm eager to try out the new 2x or whatever version.. to see if it's as big of a flop.
as much as i respect dime... most of his signature stuff really sucked.

On CFH he used a Randall RG-100 Head
On VDOP and FBD he used a Randall Century 200 Head
On GTSK he used a Randall RG 100 Head
And dont forget his Furman PQ3

That picture was posted way before Dimebag got his deal with Krank. The fact is he did use them since around sept or october or so of last year.Also in that pic he is still playing a Washburn guitar and not a Dean in which he he also switched and was playing for a few month's before he passed away. |

And this pre Krank endorsement picture is your proof?Anyway I'm not a fan of the Revolution Amp for Pantera /DP tones and alway's wondered why he chose them but he did. How do you know he did not use them live? I have friend's that have seen him with DP recently before he was killed and verified the KRANKS usage

i beleive he saw them... whether or not dime used them is totally different...
he used warheads when he was endorsed with randall, but that was in addition to a huge rack of stuff. it's probably the same with krank, just slaving the head he endorses for his rack of magic shit.

well i have to disagree with the recto comment... but i cut people slack when they trash talk mesa simply because it's 10 times easier to get a bad sound from a mesa than it is to get a good one. but once you spend enough time on them they can be amazing amps.
i personally don't ever really use the modern voicing on rectos, to buzzy and not as "tone based" imo.
