rEVOLVEr

the haunted have always been an excellent band, i think, espicially on Made Me Do It, their melodies and riffs were really deep and well thought out. I think their new album rEVOLVEr isnt that great. Its so superficial that it becomes hard to tell certain songs apart. And the singer on this album, I think, isnt that good of a singer.

Agreed. Not only does the new singer suck,it seems they also dumbed down the music, which is never a good thing.

Shut your fucking mouth.
You don't know a single thing about me.
So I heard what you said when he walked away.
Don't you think I can add up the numbers.
It's a sour taste.
A knowledge I wish I've never gained.
So you think you could match me?
Well these are the things I see

Such great lyrics.

i didn't even bother with this album after hearing "99"....it takes until the solo for the haunted to actually come out of the speakers. Marco was a far better vocalist than Pete and he suited The Haunted so well. Though, after seeing the Haunted for the first time earlier this year, Pete is quite a good vocalist live, (whether that's due to distortion, or me being stupidly drink), but still...if he can't do it on a CD...then i'm not gonna bother.
Oh yeah and, Pete Dolving's lyrics are total twat stain compared to Marco's.

I've completely gone off this band.

Oh, and those lyrics are trite bollocks.

the only decent lyrics he's ever produced have got to be(at best) "In Vein". I got a sampler at some club in liverpool with Shadows Fall, God Forbid, Stampin' Ground and new The Haunted. "99" pissed me off, but as soon as Pete started singing(? screaming?) on the second track "All against All", it's the first time i ever felt sorry for a band.

No, I'm not kidding. It's a matter of personal taste, and I hate them.

They're not a thrash band. Overkill is a thrash band. They are not Overkill. Teh death they blend with is the At the Gates style, which is either really good or horribly bad. They are the latter.

I used to have One Kill Wonder, and after listening to it, I realised what a waste of money it was.

They are in the same sinking boat as Carnal Forge, and when they fall off the face of the earth, thrash, and metal in general will be better off.

"one kill wonder" had a shit load of decent riffs crammed into bollocks songs.

"...made me do it" is the only really decent thing The Haunted have done...looking back at their cd's

There's the occassional spot of near-brilliance on this new one, but yeah for the most part I too think that The Haunted Made Me Do It is their best.

Didn't really bother me that they changed so much on this album though, I mean by the time they got to One Kill Wonder that style of music was really fucking saturated. Shitloads of bands playing it, it's hard to tell alot of them apart.

Yeah I'd have to agree. I think i was just expecting too much by the time it came out and turned out dissappointed...although I only listened to it twice so far, there's a possibility i could find something I enjoy, but I know there was a reason I put it down and didn't pick it back up.

I'll stick to my one kill wonder anyday

I always find it interesting. Whenever a band comes out with a new album scores of people immidiatly turn around and say how much they hate the band. I think one thing that makes a band great is their ability not to remake the same CD over and over. Sure rEVOLVEr has some lackluster tracks (but so did the other CDs). I have all of The Haunted's CDs / DVDs and have seen them live. I still think they're a great band.

I think most of their other lyrics are good except "All Against All."

Yeah, The Haunted's lyrics are alright. If you're a homosexual.
