I won't answer as I feel it just isn't fair outranking one of the best thrash/speed metal guitarists by one of the best death metal guitarists, or vice versa. The genres are just too far and wide to give a fair and accurate answer. I think a better list would be 10 Most Influential Metal Guitarists.
