My Wrist
Yes, this bothers me so much that I was required to make a thread out of my problem!
While I'm playing, my wrist is usually rested somewhere near the bridge of the guitar. The problem is that I can't move my wrist across the bridge smoothly. This is very annoying because while I'm soloing, my palm will get stuck behind the bridge or the low E string and cause me to play diagnally on the higher strings. This creates a very harsh and disturbing noise, plus it makes it harder to play. I would really like to know if anybody could explain or show me the proper way to place your wrist while playing guitar.
(Geez, I've been playing for three years and now I'm trying to change my form!)

ITs ok, it is your technique evolving...which is a good thing. Before we start giving you examples of how to fix it(pics)....you need to show a pic on here so we can get a better idea of what you are talking about.

I don't have a digital camera, SOrrY guYz. Anyway, maybe those of you who do could post a picture of the "correct" technique. Since I'm gonna be with my friend for the whole weekend, I suppose I could try to learn a better way from him. I wish I had a bigger palm!

Here you go:
The first one is what you're looking for and the second one is my palm mute. Remember, this is only me, I know plenty of people who don't use their fingers at all to support their hand. I also use my right hand fingers to keep my alt picking under control.

Thanks Beelz, I'll use these for reference. I think the major problem is just my wrist size, because it's oddly shaped and not very large.

well, another way to fix it is to watch a music video or somethin....hell, i learned how to do a pinch harmonic by watching a ozzy video, watchin randy do his thing, but if you watch other players, you might see somethin that will help you
