Hmm, thats a good question. I would have to say my 18" China and my 20" ride. Theres so many different noises you can get out of a ride and the china is just...a china.

my A custom 17"
My 20" 2002 China
and my no name self made half china half ordinary cymbal, it sounds very kvlt, it is cracked also
I intend to add some more percussiony stuff onto my kit including a saw blade and an old thin Disk brake disk, which apparently sound very metal.

20" hit hat ride cymbals, one is a sabian, the other is a zildjian, emits a very loud deep sloshing sound when open, closed it sounds more or less like a hi hat. the bell part sounds real crisp when closed

Haha, yes my 18" china kicks ass. Low-tech, that sounds interesting. I didnt know what you were talking about before when you said 20" hats. How do you fit that into your kit?

its cool, i distance my stand a bit, thats all, the stand itself barely lifts it like 1/2 inch, which is the setting i prefer. ive been looking on ebay for a 24" ride cymbal, i dont know if these types of cymbals are made anymore, id like something bigger as an actual ride, being the counterpoint from the hi-hat, the gong idea is kind of a exagerrated whim

yeah see, i put that post down then look at ebay and see exactly what i want, 24"ride, the thing was probably made during the early bronze age, 100 bucks!, i don't have the money of course...
that "sneeze" cymbal, is it a current model sold as new in stores, or is it an older cymbal not made anymore? and does it cost a bazillion bucks?

Whatever China Cymbal Mike Hamilton uses. He uses it to perfection too. If I say "the China" to my friends, they all know I'm talking about this one. It's badass.
