can anyone give me some input on this guitar? I know how it sounds, but how does it play? I do not want a guitar that plays bad

Its a good guitar.
Alot of touring bands use the EC-400, which is also good. Since the 1000 is a better model I assume its a great guitar.

Ltd Deluxes are nice guitars, but if I was you, I'd check out the 400-series. There isn't a huge difference, but way cheaper. EC-400 is a good guitar. If you wanna buy a Deluxe, you might wanna look into real ESPs (used or new, since they don't cost that much more than a Deluxe). I mean, an Ltd and a ESP are totally different guitars.
But I don't think a 1000 is worth all that extra money, when you would be better than fine with a 400. But that's just me, you should go and play em both.

I've played all the '1000' series, the mh models and the vipers too. they're the best LTD has to offer. ESP's are better quality but you pay way more for those, the 1000 series comes pretty close and they have pretty neat specs.
sound is great, playability is allright. I don't know, I liked the Viper model best, the les paul model wasn't too confortable to me, I'de rather get a real les paul and if you need, put emg's in that. I guess the EC just didn't feel right for me where the viper did (which is just a modern shaped SG) it does play really light and easy.
The MH series aren't my thing at all, they're like jackson/rg shaped ltd's, though they don't nearly play as fast and light.

that guitar looks like Kramer's version of a les paul but without a flame top and kramer pickups. There probably made in the same factory in korea or somet
