Suggestions on how to get a great tone?

I do a lot of recording. I use Cakewalk's Gutiar Tracks 2, A Fender Princeton Chorus and a 73 Tele with stock humbucking pick-ups. I was just curious... have you discovered any great techniques for getting a kiiler guitar tone in recording? EQ settings... Compression... etc?

Thanks,
