I'm sure it's not that hard(I'm assuming you're trying to learn it). A friend of mine can play parts of it, but not too well, and he didn't spend much time on it. The tapping part sounds easy, and everything else is just fast guitar playing. There's one part that only involves a fast wrist. How long have you been playing? This may not be a good song to start on, because you'll get in the habit of using the distortion to your advantage too much if you having been playing very long.

Actually I can already play it, I have been playing for about 6 years, I was just wondering because back when it first came out a lot of people could play it, I was wondering how many could now thats all.

i learned that at my guitar lessons, i maybe practiced it for a month to get it with a nice speed, and ive been playing for 2,5 years and had 10 lessons so far 
i dont think the song is that hard, its just like jump, everyone is like WOW about the song, but it takes u some practice and uve got it |

I can play it, I learnt it after I'd played for about 6 months. It didn't take long to actually learn it, but to get it to sound like Ed with all the effects, and to get into his style took a while. It's easy now because Ive got into Malmsteen and Angelo, but Ed's style is really unique, the way he bends the strings and his vibrato etc, it takes a while to perfect.

thats true he does the bend so fucking fast.
and he uses a sortof flanger but its kinda weird, anyone knows what it is, a phaseshifted chorus flange??
