how far can u stretch?
how far can u stretch on a fret board?
the furthest i can do is from the 1st to the 8th and the i can also do from the 12th to the 24th, i dunno which is further.
my fretboard is medium so i dunno, that might effect the comparison to others.
neways, im not trying to be modest but i dont think thats far, it might be but i dont think so, im sure u lot can stretch further.

Why do you guys talk about fret sizes? They should not really affect this at all. Or at least not nearly as much as scale length...

Fret Size doesn't matter...it is how big those metal bars are in between each fret. If fret sizes were different than it would screw up the intonition or something of the guitar. Jumbo are just really big and medium are basic fret metal thingies....
I wish I had bigger hands it pisses me off becase my pinky is a pussy. I try to work it but it is still a pussy. I'm like...look here you fucking son of a bitch...get bigger or I'm not going to feed you. And so he doesn't get bigger and I stop feeding him. Then I beat him late at night when no one else is around. I usually use a rag to stop him from yelling and making to much noise. After that I shit on his face and go to bed.

put your first finger down on a fret. Start at the lower frets so its easier (build up to the higher ones). Set your second finger on the next fret, and your third on the next one. (Sorry, I REALLY didn't explain this) then skip a fret and set your fourth finger down.

I can do from 1-4  . Of course, I just got my guitar for Christmas, but that's pretty sad, eh? The fact that my pinkies are crooked ( http://www.4d5e6f.com/images/left.jpg) doesn't help me at all, but I manage. Besides, most riffs don't need to go super far anyway. Btw, both pinkies are crooked, the weird part is the level of crookedness is symmetrical with my right hand (that's my left hand palm-down on my scanner).

If I need to I can stretch from the 5th Fret on the E String to the 12 fret on the Opposite E String when playing Classical Guitar, but its by no means easy or comfortable.
Whenever I Play Electric, the farthest I care to stretch is from 1-5 if I want to do some weird Chord:
A -7
E -3
or
D -7
A -5
E -3
But usually the farthest I stretch without thinking is 1 - 4:

i meant that there cannot be a different
distance between the single frets
fret<-->fret
always the same space between
right?
