well i woke up today with THE BIGGEST craving for mcdonalds, so i go, and while at the drive thru the person who takes the cash said "it will be a moment just wait to the side", so i did and 10 min later a manager comes out with my order, and because of the wait she gives me 4 free mc muffin cards.
I only eat fast food once every few months, and it paid for it self today!

I know them, gd. 'Tea' is a meal the British devised so they could have an early dinner and get to the pub in time, because they close at 11 and they need to get ridiculously drunk before that time. I know that's not entirely true, but it's more or less the only way I've seen it implemented. If you take a look at English history, way too much of it has to do with alcohol for them not to have the same reputation as the Irish. I mean, how did they battle malaria? They devised an alcoholic beverage with quinine. They could have made quinine injections mandatory, but instead they came up with the gin and tonic. That is dedication to alcoholism, people. That is a drunken nation. Even imperialism comes on the coattails of alcoholism. Compare that to American imperialism: just moralism, neat. They at least mixed their moralism with gin.
And I'm surprised so proud a Canadian would deign to eat American food. Isn't there a Tim Horton's or something nearby?

I know, they've invaded our market. Not America's, just America within an hour of the Canadian border. They're owned by Wendy's, anyway, so it was inevitable. Of course, on the other hand, living so close to Canada means I have a large number of people who hope to move there, and they've decided Tim Horton's rules, along with all other things Canadian. Actually, I know a lot of people who already have dual-citizenship. I think they're a bit more temperate, but not really. I try to avoid Tim Horton's. I also avoid all other fast food chains. But I'm not one of those 'let's move to Canada, it'll be cool there!' people.
But when I want junk, I get a garbage plate. Rochester original. It will take a decade off your life. But not one of the good ones.

wel, think of it this way... Atlantic canada is really hurting for jobs, ALOT of people work at mcdonalds are older people (you will see it more in the sticks area), alot of people who have familys and such work at call centers, i live in a wealthy area where lawyers, people who own their own businesses and government works live. And when you go to a fast food place its more helping our economy then helping an american chain that rules the world.
When I worked at the mall, 10% of the employees were my age while the rest are 30+, and most jobs here are from the US.
And heres a stupid fact of the day:
Halifax harbour is the second highest Polluted (sp?) harbour in the world. #1 is hong kong's harbour.

Then at least be happy that recent American entry laws will make Canada a necessary stop in world transit. I don't know how much that will help Hallifax, but at least Canada in general is getting a lot of revenue that used to go through America before we forced everyone to get visas to stay here for an hour layover. The way things are going now, many countries that were fairly reliant on America are expanding to a point that they're projected to outdo America within our lifetimes, so there may be hope for the Canadian economy, even, eventually, without the help of the McDonald's Liberation Army.
Though, on the other hand, you're still all Canadian. I'm not sure if aggressive economics will ever be your forte.
Either way, I've got to catch my flight to Chicago soon. It's been lovely, all.

yea im back to work tommarow too, i had an awsome week though. i went into work on monday and the boss was like "well you guys are 3 weeks ahead of schedual, and its the holidays so you all get a 500$ bonus and take the week off!" cant beat that(i do construction btw)

My new years was very uneventful....well most of it. Me and 1 buddy watched the Exorcist III and almost fell asleep a bunch of times cause it's a long movie and we were dringing lots of whiskey. Then we had a keystone light at exactly midnight, and as I jumped this large bush and fell on my arse, my buddy continued to vomit on the front yard of my house. Then we went inside, I played a little guitar, and we ended with the 4th season of the simpsons....

Okay, so I had this GAY project assignment to do over the break. It was, make an object that reflects the mythology of yourself (how gay is that). So I decided just to make a little guitar. In honor of Dime bag I decided to make one of his signature models. I made this out of balsa wood using a box cutter and an exacto knife. I used a sharpie to color it in and I used little beads for the knob and tuners. I used pieces of a popsicle stick for the pickup and bridge and nut.
It is 5 1/2 inches high.

Just a bit. Its tuned down the Drop G (down 134 octaves from standard)
Well its standard scale length just smaller. I just printed out a picture of the guitar and cut it out and traced around it, so its all proportional.

Here's an interesting curiosity of numbers for people who didn't already know: if you transpose two digits of a number then the difference between the two numbers is always divisible by 9.
For example, 7001. Transpose the 1 and the 7 to get 1007. 7001 - 1007 = 5994. 5994/9 = 666.
It will work for any number with any 2 of its digits transposed.

Today is the only day that I've been bored (or not been occupied in doing something) for about 2 months. The worst thing is that I'm too tired to do anything at all, even drink! Besides, I've done too much of that over the past 11 days or so. I need to get back to work so that I can recover from the holiday!

anyways, we did a small tour during the christmas/new years times, last show was yesterday man, I hope to get some pics soon, I only have the early ones, here's one of our stuff ready to be packed.
edit: we had a spare Gibson les paul from our vocalist, man, that thing sounded deep but it played shitty  I used it for a gig though, I'm allready used to the weight.. so if anyone wants to sell their LP's.. I'de like to have one on the side |

the darn guy has two of them, a standard and uh, the other one is black that's all he told me, but he doesn't even play them much, he just sings, haha. I'll get a pic of it though, I'll ask him to bring it to practise this month.
the one I played yesterday was pretty banged up, the volume knob was fucked and the switch too and it had horrible action. turns out he borrowed it to the girl next door who wanted to try and play guitar. Holy shit, thats something I'll never do, hehe! he told me the black one was perfect so I'll be playing that someday soon through my own gear. Anyways, my Ran is here in march, can't wait for that |

When i was at home i had to play my Epiphone LP. I can't play anymore on this guitar. I'm used to a slim body. And the strings are way to high for me on the LP.

then your action just sucks on the LP. but epi's are crappy anyways, the gibson has neat pickups and great sustain, where the epi does not I've played epi's too and just didn't like any of them, but I heard they're hit-or-miss...
