Buzzage While Recording
Yeah. I'm at me drummer's house recording. We're gettin' some serious buzzage from his mixer. How do we kill the infernal buzz??
If you need more info, ask. I can't provide much, but he can.

Is it high or low pitch buzz? Are you sure it's from his mixer?
I suppose it'd be good if you tried to connect other things to the channel you're getting buzz on, to see if it's really the mixer. And try connecting your "thing" to another channel on the mixer. But you've probably already done both of those.

if it's like a hum, then i think you have a grounding issue... if it's a buzz i could be anumber of things..

Could be any of the following:
Bad Cable - Try mixing and matching cables to find where the problem stems from.
Check your connections. Maybe something is loose.
It could be outside interference as well. Make sure all unneccessary equipment is turned off. Also, make sure that your equipment is away from eachother; i.e., don't have your mics too close, your mixer too close to your amp, etc. It could be just about anything.
Hope I could be a help.

Sorry guys, haven't been on. It's my drummer's, so I'm not completely sure about everything. It wasn't the cables, we tried different ones. Everything seemed connected fine, but I'll check tommorow when I'm there. I'm not the most technical person, so I don't know if the power source is conditioned, bcuz I don't know what that means! (lol) Everything around it that needs to be off is off (just the TV, that's the only thing near it). I'll try some of these ideas though. Still need more advice probably. Thanks!
