Arrow Crazy about acoustic

I have been playing acoustic guitar all these days. Got an electric guitar a year before. I like to play the clean stuff on acoustic instead of electric. So, I decided to play acoustic parts in death music also. the problem is using it live. I have to change the guitar during the shows which is not possible. Or I have to get a twin neck guitar which is possible expensive. Is there anyone who likes acoustic sound more that that of electric?

different tools for different jobs. If you have a decent setup you can get a good clean tone that is almost as good as a great acoustic guitar. However switching out guitars mid-song on stage isn't alway practical, but in some situations is still possible.

Yeah - sometimes you can get a really smooth electric sound. Acoustic sounds are a must though. Just set up the song do you have time to switch. Or you could just have the acoustic strapped onto your back and switch them around.

The guitarist for Iced Earth keeps an acoustic stand on stage and for acoustic parts would swing the electric guitar behind his back and play the acoustic. So yeah you can do it.

I remembe seeing this carlos santana video a while back and he had a stand that held the guitar at his playing position, and he would play electric, than walk up and play his acoustic that was just pretty much sitting there!!!

Maybe a pedal that can emulate the sound of an acoustic? I think Boss do one but I'd be wary of the quality - you can't beat the real thing.

my gt-6 has a great acoustic simulator...but i'm also playing with a Piezo pickup which is made to make it sound like an acoustic

I've seen an ozzy video where zakk wylde has an acoustic guitar on top of the electric guitar (the electric guitar hanging really low of course) so at first it looked like it was one double neck guitar and then when the acoustic part is done just puts it away and starts playing the electric. I've tried it and it works pretty well (haven't tried it at a show or anything because I've never done a show, just tried it at home practising) but yea you need to wear the electric pretty low.

i am like you slashpitt, i played acoustic guitar way before i picked up the electric guitar. even till this day i play my acoustic like 80% of the time and electric 20%. i can just get more feeling out of and acoustic and express my self more. i usually hop on my electric when i wanna play fast and aggresive.

as for your problem, maybe a stomp box may help. GL
