Augury
Canada, once again, produces another amazing band - this one reall pushing the limits.
I can't fucking begin to start about how great this band is! Amazing musician ship, production, and more important - SONGWRITING. Probably some of the best songwriting in metal I've heard in a long time. Hearing one song isn't enough, the album really has to be expierenced as a whole. They've got the old Neuraxis drummer. Pick up this album; a choice you have not!

IM me and I might send you some tracks too. They don't put the best ones up - but they still rule.

Good band. I'd put them somewhere in the area of late Emperor with a somewhat different aim, though this might be somewhat hyperbolic since I can't listen to them while I'm at home. Definitely worth the time to give 'em a listen. Plus, you'll put a smile on Dylan's face. Who wouldn't want to do that?

Look at that - two of the coolest Mods recommending them? Coincidence? Probably not.
I'd disagree with that Emperor comment though. These guys do alot more different genre work and are much more heavy. They've got the fast-pacedness though for sure. Lisntening to the drummer makes my head hurt.

I don't mean that they sound alike, simply that they both impress me in the same way. Keep in mind I haven't listened to either in a few weeks due to the fact that both are in Chicago and I'm not.
And I'm not a mod.

For me, it's by far The Best album of 2004.

One song is out-right-brutal-punch-a-baby-in-the-face that is cleverly transformed into a tranquill acoustic etude passage that is complimented with light female vocals that would calm any spirit, regardless of their level of sanity. Heavy as fuck too. They've got the old Neuraxis drummer. Pick up this album; a choice you have not!

Yeah, they're truly fucking amazing. But their drummer was only hired by Neuraxis for a couple of gigs - the other one is now singer in Despised Icon. Also, it's worth to mention that their bassist is Dominic "Forest" Lapointe from Atheretic... can't wait to see them live.

for a Montreal band they sure don't sound like it. i heard the 2 tracks off the site and wasn't overly impressed. not bad, but nothing got me headbanging or intrigued all that much. although there was a really cool harmionic deal in one song. good writing sure, they know what they are doing. but i'm listening to Deamon right now and its slowly blowing away all memories of listening to this band. the production is really simular to Emperors' later work actually, you must be able hear that Darko. but anyways, chalk up another talented band in the Montreal scene.

You've got to hear the album as a whole to really get into it. They don't really have the best songs for download on the site. Message me and I'll send you more.
