I have heard forest stream more than once, and i really liked them. I have not heard swallow the sun though. I expect it is good being suggested from someone with your choice of music.

theyre pretty similar to forest stream but a little heavier and more atmospheric...you'd love them

I have one of the Forest Stream CDs. A little too slow and drawn out for me. It is cool once and a while but i'll take Ayreon or Opeth over them

Swallow the Sun is pretty good, but theres better Doom.

and..when i think of Doom Metal i think Ozzy Osbourne..are those bands anything like him?

yea the musician skill is good...
And no, Doom metal is nothing like Ozzy Osbourne...Examples of some Doom bands are...
Saturnus, October Tide, Katatonia, Dark Suns (if you will), Mourning Beloveth, etc |

I like Forest Stream. Haven't heard the other.
October Tide = Melodic Death. Other doom bands: Candlemass, Black Sabbath, Agalloch, some Anathema, etc.
And yes, Dark Suns IS doom metal.
