To all Sonic maximizer users

so i got mine today but im not sure how i should utilize it

my amp has a Pre Amp in and a power amp out.

i tried messing around with it liek that but didnt get much results.

i also tried plugging it in like a stomp box which got better results

right now i only have 3 patches and 1 speaker cable and need the speaker cable for my cab.

so how should i plug it in?
and what tips do you guys have about it

well, the best way to hook it up is either in the fx loop or between the preamp and poweramp... i always had mine in the fx loop.

your situation sounds like you might be s.o.l.

most i've heard have had nothing but complaints about it being at the begining of the signal... but i suppose you might just have to run through it like it's a pedal..

well ill just have to hold tight till i get my crate

now i have more questions

when i dime this ma fucker is it sopposed to get insanely bassy or insanely trebly?

there is a darastic change from 9-10, its so insane.

also is there any kind of rack case i can fit this, an MSP 1000
and the crate head in, cause that would be hella convient

This is a massive oversimplification, but when you raise the lo contour, it gets more low end and when you raise the process, it tightens the sound up. Raising the process sounds a bit like you're adding more high end, but I don't think that's actually what's going on.

Maybe I'm messed up here, but does your amp have a preamp OUT and a power amp IN? It seems like those are the two plugs you'd need to hook the maximizer between.

Enjoy your massive increase in tone and aggressiveness.

True, Preamp OUT and Poweramp IN is kind of the effects loop. Ive seen people do this.

lo cotour is like lows, the bbe process is a high frequency control.

a sonic maximizer is basically a simple parametric eq with enhancers.... when you turn the lo contour up it fills in the gaps in your low frequencys so to speak, thus making your sound much more "rich" and "tight".

i don't like the way they sound with the knobs past 6 (1 o' clock), too processed for my likings.

yes that would work, but from what he said he has a preamp in and a poweramp out...

maybe he got it backwards?

But the change from 9 to 10 on both pots just cant be right im starting to think its defective.

maybe its because i had it plugged in like a stompbox
because it only happened when it was plugged in like that.

BUT
this is all not important because i am just informed about the where abouts of my CRATE HEAD!!!!!!! and am about to pick it the fuck up you slutcocks

no, it's not... but it's the next best crate head imo... gx130c baby...

old school s.s. crate stuff imo is just about as good as newschool tube stuff they make.
