that probably wont happen, it's just a relabeled 5150..

you can disconnect the head part of your combo from the speaker part, then have jerryP mod it with an adjustable bias if you're not content with it...

i don't know about that, those old marshalls are rare and sought after because there werent many made...
5150's are all over the place... give a couple decades for all the stores to sell old stock, and for a bunch of used ones to break down... then they might be a little more valuable.
but i have a feeling you're still going to have no problem seeing 5150's left and right..

Well Peavey has been talking about releasing a 60 watt head and a 5150II combo for awhile but EVH just wouldnt sign off on the deal.. now Peavey can do whatever they want

and Unearth used 5150's in the Studio not sure about live though... they used the rhythm channel with a Maxon OD808.

interesting news. the 5150 has allways been one of the 'steady' factors, like jcm's you know?

I wonder if they'll come up with some nice mods and hopefully some bigger changes to the amp itself, I think there's more in those amps then you get from them stock. I really never liked them much. but they have a great price/quality/loudness ratio.

Definetly, the fixed bias is what eddie wanted, the lack of clean is what eddie wanted... ect..

Now peavey can do whatever they want.

the whole time i was playing it i checked lke 5 times, to see "this is a tube amp right?" im serious. noe mabe its not THAT bad, but i played around with it for about an hour.

the jsx is pretty much a hot rodded xxx... it's just been voiced a little different. and they added a noise gate to the lead channel.

the JSX is the best peavey tube top I played so far, basta. its more versatile then the 5150 and the distortion sounds much better (so does the XXX's distortion, but thats personal preference too)

the cleans are the biggest improvement on the jsx compared to the xxx and ofcourse to the 5150(I/II)

maybe EVH got pissed off because the JSX kicked his signature amp's ass, haha.

last night i was at my freinds house, he held i big party had a couple bands over (including his) and i must say he made the JSX sound great.

Nice idea, but I too would like to see a price drop. I have a feeling Peavey may not make it as desirable as the 5150, but Peavey has NEVER let me down.
