All the lyrics off Psycroptic's The Scepter Of The Ancients. Particularly a Planetary Discipline. I tripped out when I read that huge theory about cunts that live in the sun or something like that. Exhumed's Carnal Epitaph is another song that springs to mind. And Gorguts' Elusive Treasures (I think it's about Atlantis).

Oh fuck, I almost forgot. Demonaz's lyrics crack me up big time. What a champ.

There are a few stanzas taken from the original poem ('Day after day, day after day' through 'but not a drop to drink' and the spoken section), which is by Coleridge, but for the most part it's an original parse by Steve Harris and can be credited as such. I prefer Dickinson as a lyricist, at least generally.

But believe it or not, the others that aren't noise projects actually have some quite good lyics. 'Korpse on the grave' has great lyrics, look them up. It's about how pain goes beyond death.

Well instead of listing all the Black Dahlia Murder songs off of Unhallowed, I'll just say I love them all. Closed Casquet Requiem lyrics stand out the most for me. "My knife shall carve the wings." I just love the atmosphere the lyrics create.

Or are that many of you really that shallow so that unbelievably repetitive and unoriginal lyrics about stereotypically metal subjects. Everybody has something that means something personal to themselves. There are lyrics that cover those things, find something that means something to you. Don't just find something that a 14 year old could pull out of his ass after listening to Cannibal Corpse and Deicide for an hour.

I swear to God I could start a band called SatanGore 2000 and half of you would really think my lyrics were great.
