I am getting together a budget minded half stack (tube) and this is what I have come up with. Keep in mind I would like to have face melting distortion with the option of a clean channel if needed.
So here it is
Budget Rig:
Crate BV120H Blue Voodoo
Avatar G412 straight cab
Boss Chorus Ensemble
Dunlap Cry Baby Wah
** The other option would be a 5150 II head **
Opinions anyone?

That sounds like a pretty sweet Rig. The only addition/changes i would make would probly to have a delay pedal maybe some Boss or whatnot and i'd prob get the dunlop jimmy hendrix wah although the original cry baby is pretty sweet.

if you have a 2x12 combo and a 2x12 cab does it sorta count as a half stack?
sounds good to me, what speakers would you be getting in the avatar?

I was thinking of trying Celestion G12H30's on the bottom and two Celestion V30's on top. This is what was reccomended per Avatars website. However I was curious to know if I should get the slant cab or straight one.

Slant projects more, but the Strait will have a slightly deeper sound.
