use the metal zone for a little extra gain.......as far as the mesa triple
head goes i use the red channel gain on 10....bass 7.......mid around 5
.......treble......around 6......volume depends. my guitars all have emg-81
pickups

I'd never get a recto, especially a triple, thoes things are way fucking loud. But rectos just don't do it for me. They are good for some stuff but not the sound I want.

it's just because he plays for cannibal corpse and they're the deathiest of death 
his tone is alright... it works for him i suppose.
both times i've seen him i saw no metalzone(if it were anywhere on the stage, or even in the building i would have seen it)...
jack was most recently running a digitech gsp 2101 with a bv300h... but i think he relied alot on the bv for dirt.

And, why doesnt he just use a overdrive pedal or tube screamer instead? i dont see how a mt-2 would help. it would just be over saturated

I know when I saw them the band before them (Katakalysm) was using a metalzone...but I doubt pat uses it all the time. It sounds like he is using it for Frantic Disembowelment...because it sounds a little Synthetic to me...although it is a badass song.
Also, I don't want a triple rec just because he plays one. I have wanted on ever since I plugged into one 4 years ago...before I ever even listened to cannibal corpse. Until I hear or see something bette, that is what I have my eyes set on.

viles tone doesnt sound mean enough for me, it sounds pretty subdued compared to the likes of severed and spawn. I thought spawns tone was fucking sick, along with origins though dead. Misery index's is a little too high pitchy for me.

The 580 and 570 are very similar, the 570 is voiced a little differently though and has completely seamless switching. (the 580 is fast, but not as fast as the 570) But, the 580 looks alot sexier than the 570.

Everyone says that. Listen to the guitar during right before the solo during swarm of the formless... Their tone is just a really heavy crunch, not some crazy fucking Uber-Gain fuzz like alot of Death metal, thats why i like it.
