CD Riff Track Decoder

I was speaking with a buddy of mine and he's interested in purchasing a Tascam CD gt1. It's a riff track decoder. It plays a cd, then, plays it back at 1/2 speed but at the original pitch. It's around 150 U.S.

I also looked at a Sabine BT decoder and it's for 80 U.S. It didn't mention anything about keeping the same pitch however.

Does anyone have any experience/advice with these decoders?
