im trying to fine tune my sound ,im planning on getting some kind of tube screamer pedal. but dont know whats the best model or make. the only other pedal im using are NS-1 noise supressors.

well the ibanez ts's are the standard right now, but if you got the money you can get a better botique-ish one or a modded one...

what kind of amp do you have?

right now i got a 5150 212 combo.
ive never played with ibanez pedals. i think im going to go to guitar center and check it out. would you recommend any other makes or models ??

you don't need a tubescreamer with a fucking 5150... those have tons of gain.

try something like an eq pedal or a sonic maximizer for fine tuning on your sound.

a ts-9 is an overdrive pedal... often used to make medium gain amps like jcm 800's seem like high gain amps because they give a nice clean signal boost with added gain... very nice if you love the tone/color/sound/voicing of a medium/low gain amp but you want more gain.

but with a 5150 i think it's mostly unecissarry for "tone shaping".
