Why didn't they let you play?
Any guitar shop that doesn't let its customers try an amp or guitar should be closed. Who the fuck would spend $$$$$ on something they don't even know if they like?

Why not? Why would you sig me saying that I hate you? I was serious there, too.

i don't know which one you'd like better, but i played a simul class blue stripe mark III with all the upgrades and it was probably the most brutal mesa ever... seriously... wow...
but not all mark III's are the same... the blue stripe has more of an aggressive preamp gain to it... and simul class power section(2 6l6's in class A/B operation and 2 el34's in class A operation) just makes it sing.
amazing amp. the cleans were remarkable too...
the dude wanted to trade me a bunch of my rack shit for it... but hasnt talked to me for awhile so i bet he already sold it .
the only dual caliber i've played was the dc 50... to me it seemed more of a clean amp... good, but not my favorite mesa.
