The 59 has more high end, its great for cleans. I like the Jazz better, it has a little less high end and a really smooth, articulate lead tone.
Go play them, a few schecters comes with them stock.

I reccomend EMGs, but if youre set on passives... id go with an evo in the neck and a X2n in the bridge.

Evo in the neck??
You'd be better off with a Air Norton or PAF Pro.

What do you guys think about the SD distortion? Do you think it would make a good neck p/u?

In the bridge, I have one the bridge and its a greta Bridge pickup, which usually means it wouldnt be too great in the neck... but ive never tried it.
Im content with my Air Norton though

Personally, I don't like the PAF Pro's lead tone, but the clean tone makes me weak in the knees.
I love the bridge X2N's lead tone, though, so I don't need the neck pu for leads.
